To have a web site you need 4 basic elements to begin. A domain name, web space, email address and of course a web site.
A domain name is a signpost on the Internet to your web site. All web sites and every email address uses a domain name. Secure your name here.
This is a single page that will display your existing company logo, full contact details (address, phone number and email) as well as a paragraph of company overview text. Once you have upgraded to a web site this would be replaced by that website.
Often called "hosting" your web space allows you to use your domain name for your web site and email addresses. Think of it like rent you pay for an office or a shop. Without these online "premises" you cannot trade online.
Once you have your domain name and web space you can then begin using your email. Instead of having a non-professional email address like you@hotmail.com or you@aol.com you will be able to use an easy to remember address. e.g. info@yourname.co.uk
So you're all ready to go, you have all of the above. Now its time to get trading online. Free of charge we will create a holding page on your web space to let everyone know who you are and how to contact you. In short, No. The reason we can keep our prices so low is the removing the time usually taken up on large budget projects by meetings, designing, scoping, planning and researching. Feel free to email us if you have any questions, we are here to help.
If you want any extra services such as adding further pages of content or scanning images we have some optional add-ons available. Your site will run just fine without them but may make your life easier with them!
If you already have a domain name you have two choices. You can transfer the domain name to us or you can simply point it to our servers.
Transferring
If you transfer your domain name to us we will make sure it is locked to prevent it being stolen, we will also ensure it is properly registered to you to prevent any disputes in the future. Most domain name extensions (.co.uk, .com, .net etc.) can be transferred into us free of charge.
Pointing
If you chose to point your domain name at our server you will not benefit from free domain renewals. You will still need to purchase 'step 1' which includes a domain name, hosting and email. You may want to choose a second (free) domain name.

Currently Love Design only offers setup and support for web sites and email on our own servers. We like to be able to offer our high level of support to all our clients and can only do that if we have full control over the servers.
If you have your own hosting space you can always move compatible web sites to our hosting space along with your domain name and email. You will then be billed only one low fee each year. Contact us for a free evaluation of your existing web site.
Aptitude and ability vary from person to person. We find as a guide people who are confident online and on their computer have no trouble updating their web site without much training at all.
If you have ever used eBay, set up a PayPal account, uploaded a video to YouTube, used Word or sent an email then you will find using the content management system relatively easy.
For best results a working knowledge of image editing software is always good. You will get better results if you can resize your own images.
Any computer with an up-to-date browser should be capable of managing the web site. The only other software you may require is image editing software such as PhotoShop or GIMP and text software such as MS Word or OpenOffice.

When we make your site 'live', we submit it to many search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask Jeeves and more so that they know the site is ready for the public to view. It can take up to 8 weeks for it to begin appearing in search listings but be assured it will appear in time!
Once your new site is live we will provide you with a document which outlines the steps you can take to help your site achieve better results. This free document also lists some optional paid services which can be purchased to catapult your site to a higher position even faster.
